"When I first visited George Gabin's studio in 1989, I was immediately taken by the subtle changes in light and shadow that create an intimate yet haunting mood in his paintings. His subjects, whether landscape, still life or figurative, have a singular source; a place within the musings and memory of the artist. Gabin invents his subjects, culling them from observation and emotion. He then uses the utmost care in his process of transfering the imagery to canvas. The result is a journey for both the artist and the viewer into the conscious and subconscious; into the workings of our mind, our hearts and our souls.

Please enjoy these painting with a willingness to explore the depths to which they can take you".
